At Lansdown we place great emphasis on our
junior players. They are after all the future of our club and of
the sports
we are so passionate about. Junior members are entitled to play both
tennis and squash.
The cornerstone of our junior programme is the Junior Academy
which provides a full range of coaching and playing opportunities for
youngsters
between the ages of 5 and 17. Follow this link for further details
on the academy.
We try to encourage our juniors to join in with club
life and organise junior club play and social tournaments for them. The
annual club
tournament provides an opportunity for competitive play and the Club
also enters a number of junior teams in local and national leagues
and competitions.
Juniors between the ages of 12 and 17 can join Lansdown
in their own name, while younger players can either become part of
the academy
or get free membership as part of their parent’s membership.
Family Tennis
All weekdays: Court 4 is for 'Family Play' from 4-6pm
Saturdays: Courts 8, 9 and 10 have been allocated for 'Family Play' from 4-6pm. Priority should be given to families playing together, but if not used, juniors are welcome to play without adults. These courts are not bookable in advance.
Sundays: Senior club play takes place from 1.30pm until 6pm. Courts are generally available outside these hours.
