The Club
Clubroom and Cafe / Bar

We have a large Clubroom offering a full range of cakes, snacks and delicious home cooked meals including a very reasonably priced children’s menu.  The Lansdown Club offers a full bar serving a variety of coffees, teas and soft drinks in addition to alcoholic beverages at all times.  All food and drink are discounted for members. The Clubroom looks out on to 8 of our tennis courts so you can watch the tennis while sipping your cappuccino!  Alternatively, during the spring and summer months, the patio area outside is a wonderful sun trap and is the ideal place to enjoy a cool glass of white wine, a pint of beer or even a cup of tea whilst you are waiting for your lunch to be prepared.

There are board games, children’s TV area, and several sofas where children can wait for their coaching lessons or have tea after school.

Sports Events

We also have a large screen TV where a lot of the top sporting events are shown which adds to a great sporting atmosphere.

Private Functions

Members can use the Clubroom for private functions such as birthdays and anniversaries for at a very modest cost.  We offer a variety of catering options to suit your particular needs and budget and if you would like us to quote for your function please contact Jo Bray, our Catering Manager, by email

England Squash and Racketball

The Club Charter is a progressive club development programme that aims to increase the number of adults and juniors playing squash and Racketball in clubs, increase the recruitment, education and development of coaches and volunteers, and improve the infrastructure of our club network.  The Club Charter is linked to Sport England’s Clubmark award.  Put simply, by achieving Club Charter status, we have shown our commitment to offer a welcoming environment, set high standards in child protection, and work closely with local schools to develop the future generations of squash and Racketball players.

Sport England recognises and values the commitment made by the Lansdown Club to develop high quality, welcoming environments for young participants. The development of clubs that encourage young people to take-up sport, improve their talents, possibly play a leadership role and give them the option to initiate and maintain life-long participation in sport is an essential part of supporting the sporting infrastructure in England. The Lansdown Club are proud to have been recognised for achieving the standards necessary to obtain the Clubmark award.
