Christmas 2022

We have now enjoyed 2 social Christmas events – if you didn’t manage to make it to either, maybe next year? Details of this year’s events below, to whet your appetite for 2023!

Lansdown Christmas Party – held on Saturday 10th December 2022

A Prosecco reception from 7.15pm followed by a gala 2 course buffet and DJ Jamie Richards with music and dancing (music from 60’s to present time, focus on 70’s/80s and favourite requests!) £20pp, tickets purchasable in advance.

President’s Drinks & Funday – held on Sunday 18th December 2022

from 12pm – no advance booking required

wearing of Christmas jumpers/headwear encouraged!

Welcome drink voucher* & warm party bites 12-12.45pm

President’s speech 12.45pm – now available in Documents in Members App/website

Optional fun games on the squash courts** 1-2.30pm

Football World Cup Final on our widescreen TV at 3pm – or the usual Sunday Racketball Clubplay

**  Croquet unavailable as planned as lawn still out of action following annual maintenance and tennis courts not playable due to snow/wet. Table tennis was brought into action in one of the squash courts though! 

Festive members’ drinks, hosted by club president, Eleanor Bird, and the President’s speech – a 10 minute review of the year and look ahead to next year’s plans.  Crisps on arrival from 12pm, warm party bites served from 12.15pm, plus a welcome drink voucher* for cashing in then or later the same day – all free, a Christmas gift for our members!

*Welcome drinks voucher offer applies to members aged 18 and over – collected on meeting the President between 12 & 12.45pm, and exchangeable on Sunday 18th December only for any beer or cider (pint or bottle) or a glass of wine (175ml) or prosecco (125ml), a single house spirit & mixer or any soft drink (bottle/can/draught).  Jugs of squash available at the bar for member’s children (or adults!) to help themselves.
